"The development of renewable energy is a requirement of the times not only for our country, our region, but also for Europe. The development of this area is a promising step not only for the Ternopil region's economy, but also for the preservation of natural resources and the environment. "After all, this is also a requirement of the European Union," says Viktor Ovcharuk, chairman of the regional council, "Ternopil region has already made progress in this area. Now, the main thing is to spread the positive experience."

The head of the region met with Valeriy Fedoreiko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine. The head of the council reviewed the results of several implemented projects aimed at developing highly efficient heat generation systems from biological fuels and various wastes. Including those with difficult-to-utilize properties, such as plastic containers, rubber tires, etc.

Thus, in Khorostkiv, Ivan Iskerskyi, Director of LLC PA "Grain Processing", familiarized Viktor Ovcharuk with the production facilities and energy-saving technologies of PE NPO "Energy Saving Technologies", which are used for drying grain and industrial crops. The operation of the Dragon heat generator (manufactured at the production facilities of Ukrainian Technological Systems LLC) was demonstrated. Drying of grain with this unit allows the use of waste resulting from grain cleaning, as well as chopped straw, sawdust, wood chips, etc. as fuel. The fuel supply is automatic. This allows us to achieve low fuel costs, which in turn reduces the cost of drying grain.

The head of the regional council also visited an enterprise near Ternopil, namely Ukrainian Technological Systems LLC. The director of the company, Viktor Shulga, demonstrated the operation of heat generators, which can be fueled by almost the entire range of naturally occurring waste with combustible properties.

Mr. Ovcharuk emphasized the importance of the projects, as everything that the city takes to landfills can be used to benefit, thereby reducing the negative impact on the environment and producing inexpensive fuel.
